Application for the role of Inspector

Dear Candidate

Thank you for your interest in the role of Inspector. At Tribal, we are currently recruiting more Ofsted accredited Additional Inspectors of maintained schools, non-association independent schools and learning and skills to join our existing teams.

In the UK, we are the largest single provider of inspection services to Ofsted. Our large workforce of mainly freelance inspectors carries out inspections throughout Ofsted’s South region, including much of London and covering over a third of institutions in England. We now seek both permanent and freelance inspectors with experience in any of the three remits listed above.

We will particularly welcome applications from serving and recent practitioners with expertise in one or more of the following: primary, secondary and special education, faith schools, early years/Foundation Stage, tutorial colleges, Steiner schools, pupil referral units, theatre schools, learning difficulties and disabilities, any learning and skills setting and children’s homes.

If appointed, you will have the opportunity to work for Tribal, the UK’s leading provider of inspection services. Tribal also offers a range of school improvement and consultancy services. Because of our work for Ofsted (to avoid any conflict of interest) we only provide these to schools in those parts of England where we do not inspect. These services include school design, curriculum and management consultancy, training and professional development, and recruitment and selection. We can also offer you the chance to develop your portfolio internationally.

We pay competitive rates for freelance work and will offer attractive remuneration packages to successful candidates for permanent positions.

We anticipate that you will enjoy working with us. Our staff are largely drawn from the public sector and we pride ourselves on having a strong set of public service values. We want to make a positive difference to the lives of young people and do that through the delivery of high quality inspections. I hope you will want to join us.

If you are interested in inspecting for Tribal, please apply by sending a very short letter stating whether you are applying for a permanent or freelance position and briefly setting out your areas of inspection expertise. This should be accompanied by an up to date, full CV which contains the names of two professional referees and includes your current salary. The closing date is 7th February 2010 at 12 noon.

If you want to discuss any aspect of this role then please email inspections.recruitment@tribalgroup.com and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

I look forward to hearing from you.
